Displays while using digital clock numbers. To provide accurate time and date, this circuit is used in many applications like car, railway station, home, office, etc. In this type of applications, we usually use RTC (Real Time Clock) IC to display the correct time and date. This circuit shows time at the LCD for this clock, we can set any immediate time. The clock here works in 24 hour mode and is configured by RTC chip programming 8051 Controller

Circuit Principle:

Here the 8051 controller constantly reads the data from the real-time clock and processes the order in order to display time on LCD. The INT1 of the 8051 Controller is used to determine the time in the digital clock. If you reduce the p 3.3 pin then the interrupt occurs and the set_time function is called to set the time. Use P1.4 and P1.5 pins to set clock time. P1.4 is used to make changes in hours, and P1.5 minutes are used to change. After setting the time, P1.6 higher to run the clock with the clock user

circuit design:

Circuit shows you that RTC IC for interface 8051 controller. Port P0 is used as a real time clock data port. The port of the controller is connected to the P2 lcd data pins. Pin P1.1, P1.2 and controller P1.3 respectively are connected to RS, RW, N pin. P 1.0 is connected to REC's REC. Push buttons are connected to P1.4 and P1.5. Its use time is determined. P1.6 is configured as a start-up PIN that was used by the user to run the clock with the specified time. P3.3 is connected to the push button used to call the set-time function.

DS12C887 Real Time Clock:

Most ICs are used to provide accurate time and date. This IC provides 12-hour mode and 24 hours in both modes. This IC Calendar component also provides days, months and years. This RTC uses internal lithium batteries to update the time and date when the power fails. This IC has 128 bytes of RAM Memory 14 bytes in 128 RAM of I RAM is used for time, date and registers. The remaining 114 bytes are used to store common purposes. Control register of RTC can only be reached when the power is applied from external source. This IC requires more than 4.25V power supply and after the supply of external registers, control registers are available after 200 meters.
