I am a MTech student. for my thesis as I need some idea, I want to refer this paper.
The model of railroad controller is designed using an 8952 microcontroller to avoid railway accidents. When we reviewed the newspapers, we ran into many railway accidents at unmanned railway crossings. This is mainly due to the lack of care in manual operations or the lack of workers. And also the collision of two trains due to the same track. This model is implemented using the sensor technique. We place the sensors at a certain distance from the door detects the approaching train and, therefore, controls the operation of the door. An indicator light has also been provided to alert motorists to the approaching train.
The anti-collision system is implemented by adjusting the GPS receiver in each train. Each train will compare the GPS coordinates sent by the neighboring trains with their own GPS coordinates system. When the difference between the trains arriving in the same GPS coordinates reaches the minimum level, both trains will stop. When the train reaches the place where the IR sensors are placed, the closing command for the door control system will be activated. The received location will send the server form in the form of a GSM modem and the server will respond to the train position. The information will be sent from the main server with the location of the train. The control of the unmanned railway crossing is carried out by placing a screen and an alarmindator on the train so that they can find each of the train positions on the same track a few kilometers before the crossing area.
