marketing management project for class 12 on watches
A watch is a small watch intended to be worn or worn by a person. It is designed to keep working despite the movements caused by the person's activities. A wristwatch is designed to carry it around the wrist, secured by a watch strap or other type of bracelet. A pocket watch is designed for a person to carry in a pocket. Watches evolved in the 17th century from spring-loaded watches, which appeared as early as the 14th century. For most of its history, the watch was a mechanical device, driven by a clockwork mechanism, driven by a main spring and keeping time with a swinging oscillating wheel. In the 1960s the electronic quartz watch was invented, which ran on a battery and kept time with a vibrant quartz crystal. In the 1980s, the quartz watch had taken over most of the market from the mechanical watch.

At present, the most economical and medium-priced watches, which are mainly used for time measurement, have quartz movements. The expensive collectible watches, most valued for their elaborate craftsmanship, aesthetic appeal and glamorous design than by the use of time, often have traditional mechanical movements, although they are less precise and more expensive than electronic ones. Sometimes several additional features, called "complications" are included, like the lunar phase screens and the different types of tourbillon. Modern clocks often show the day, date, month and year, and electronic clocks can have many other functions. Time-related features such as timers, chronographs and alarm functions are common. Some modern designs incorporate calculators, GPS and Bluetooth technology or have heart rate monitoring capabilities. Some watches use radio clock technology to correct the time regularly.

Developments in the decade of 2010 include smart watches, which are elaborate electronic devices similar to computers designed to carry on the wrist. Usually, they incorporate time control functions, but these are just a small subset of the smart watch installations.
