Health camp is a misconception inspired by the popular Bar camp conferences, which aim to enable people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demonstrations and interaction of attendees. Health camp content focuses on improving or extending health care effectiveness by encompassing social networks, open standards and the latest web and mobile technologies. Some Health camps have tried to explicitly embrace traditional and existing health contexts, such as primary care physicians, hospitals, state-sponsored health programs, and the employer / health insurer model in an effort to stimulate innovation and change in these industries.
