The system designed here is very useful for passengers who are waiting at the bus stop to take the specific bus number. As the bus is equipped with a GSM processor where the bus stop is equipped with a time data transmitter, the passenger can identify that time the bus journey to its previous stage or before the stage. Based on this information, the passenger can estimate the position of the bus. This can be achieved by sending SMS to the GSM installed on the bus.

This time information is transmitted continuously through the IR LED. Now, each time the bus arrives on stage, this information will be acquired through the TSOP (IR sensor pack) and stored in the ROM of the main processing unit. The GSM module interconnected with the main processor can send the time information along with the name of the surplus bus stop (ie reaching the previous bus stop time) to the caller in the form of SMS. It means that each passenger acquires to know the bus position by sending SMS to the worry processor installed on the bus, the information will be passed to the mobile that makes the call automatically. As a prototype module, the system is developed for two stages, but for the practical approach, each bus stop must be equipped with a real time clock with data transmitter and, similarly, each bus must be equipped with a processing unit.
