Its is my engineering 7sem subject so this book could be really helpful
This book, which is the result of many years of teaching by the author, exposes readers to the fundamentals of mechanical vibration and noise engineering. It gives them the essential tools to address the problem of vibrations produced in machines and structures due to unbalanced forces and the noise produced by them. The text emphasizes the mechanical engineering applications of the subject and develops conceptual understanding with the help of many elaborate examples. What distinguishes the text is that three chapters are dedicated to the Sound Level and the Subjective Response to Sound, Noise: Effects, Qualifications and Regulations and Noise: Sources, Isolation and Control. It also emphasizes the importance of mathematical formulation in converting a vibration problem of distributed parameters into an equivalent problem of grouped parameters. Designed primarily as a textbook for undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering students, this book would also be useful for undergraduate and graduate students in civil engineering, aeronautics and automotive, as well as in-service engineers.
